General Data Protection Regulation Policy

GDPR stands for General Data Protection Regulation and replaces the previous Data Protection. Directives that were in place. It was approved by the EU Parliament in 2016 and comes into effect on 25th May 2018.

GDPR states that personal data should be ‘processed fairly & lawfully’ and ‘collected for specified, explicit and legitimate purposes’ and that individuals data is not processed without their knowledge and are only processed with their ‘explicit’ consent. GDPR covers personal data relating to individuals. North Essex Airport Transfers (hereby known as NEAT) is committed to protecting the rights and freedoms of individuals with respect to the processing of our customers personal data.

GDPR means that North Essex Airport Transfers must;

* Provide an individual with access to all personal information held on them

The Data Protection Act gives individuals the right to know what information is held about them. It provides a framework to ensure that personal information is handled properly.

NEAT uses Cookies on its website to collect data for Google Analytics, this data is anonymous.

What information do we collect?

We may collect, store and use the following kinds of personal information:

(b) information relating to any transactions carried out between you and us, including information relating to any purchases you make of our services.

(c) information that you provide to us for the purpose of registering with us, to include names, addresses, telephone numbers and email addresses.

Using your personal information

Personal information submitted to us via this website will be used for the purposes specified in this privacy policy or in relevant parts of the website.

(a) send booking confirmation, statements and invoices to you, and collect payments from you;

Financial Transactions

Some of our financial transactions are handled through our payment services provider, Worldpay. You can review the provider’s privacy policy at www.worldpay.com/uk We will share information with our payment services provider only to the extent necessary for the purposes of processing payments, refunding such payments and dealing with complaints and queries relating to such payments and refunds.

Security of your personal information

We will take reasonable technical and organisational precautions to prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of your personal information.

We will store all the personal information you provide on our secure (password- and firewall-protected) servers.

Updating information

Please let us know if the personal information which we hold about you needs to be corrected or updated.

The right of access

At any point an individual can make a request relating to their data and NEAT will need to provide a response (within 1 month). NEAT can refuse a request, if we have a lawful obligation to retain data but we will inform the individual of the reasons for the rejection.

The right to erasure

You have the right to request the deletion of your data where there is no compelling reason for its continued use. However, NEAT retain records for 3 years after the customer books a transfer with us. This data is archived securely onsite and shredded after the legal retention period.

The right to restrict processing

Customers can object to NEAT processing their data. This means that records can be stored but must not be used in any way, for example reports or for communications.

The right to object

Customers can object to their data being used for certain activities like marketing or research.
